Marlon Styles

Marlon Styles is a nationally recognized education leader and advocate for equitable access to innovation. Currently a Learning Partner at the Learner Centered Collaborative, he recently founded Styles Junior, LLC, offering consulting and keynote services to schools and districts navigating AI adoption with intentionality and community voice.

As former superintendent of Middletown City Schools, Marlon led the district to achieve ISTE Distinguished status—a recognition that reflects both innovation and equity. He has testified before Congress on equitable access to educational tools, and was named Superintendent of the Year for his work closing opportunity gaps. Known as a “digital trailblazer,” he now keynotes nationally, helping educators understand their role as unifiers in times of technological change.

Marlon’s most recent work focuses on the Learner Centered Collaborative’s partnership with PlayLab, building custom AI contexts rooted in local community values. He’s passionate about youth voice in AI decision-making and leads a collaborative model where students sit at the table designing AI policies alongside educators and technologists. His philosophy: “Live in the question” before rushing to solutions.
