Jenn Womble

Jennifer “Jenn” Womble is Conference Chair of FETC, the Future of Education Technology Conference, and District Administration, a role she has held since 2010. Her mission is professional development that helps educators and district leaders put technology to work for student outcomes.

Jenn grew up attending a university lab school from kindergarten through 12th grade and planned a career in law, advocating for children. A job as a substitute teacher changed her path. She spent more than 17 years in public schools, first teaching in an inner-city school and later teaching AP, and is a former National Board Certified Teacher. Along the way she led district training, scored exams for ETS and the College Board, and trained teachers in technology. She gave her first FETC presentation in 1995.

She has received the EdTech Digest Leadership Award, has been named an EdTech and eLearning Top Influencer, and judges the District Administration Top EdTech Products and Reimagine Education Awards. She leads the FETC Webinar Series, contributes to District Administration magazine, and is a Florida State University graduate and member of Leadership Florida.

Today her focus is AI readiness. “Knowledge is power,” she says, and she wants every teacher trained and every student fluent in AI, because they will be making decisions about it for the rest of their lives.
