Paul Bambrick-Santoyo is the founder and dean of the Leverage Leadership Institute, where he has spent more than two decades making instructional leadership teachable. He began his career in the classroom in Mexico City, moved into school leadership in Newark, New Jersey, and has since worked with more than one hundred thousand school leaders across roughly one hundred cities worldwide, the great majority of them in schools serving high percentages of students from low-income families, students of color, multilingual learners, and students receiving special education services.
He is the author of twelve books on leadership and instruction, most recently Leverage Leadership 3.0, and a co-author of the World Bank’s El Director LIBRE, a free Spanish-language guide to reducing the administrative burden on school principals across Latin America.
