Versha Munshi-South is an education leader, former principal, and fierce advocate for equity-driven systems that actually serve students. A NYC native and child of immigrants, her work is shaped by a lived understanding of how education can either reinforce or disrupt systemic inequity.

Versha began her career as an elementary teacher, moved into instructional coaching, and went on to lead the groundbreaking Girls Prep Charter School as principal. Today, she supports schools, districts, and state agencies through leadership development, strategic planning, and systems design—grounded in real-world experience, not theory.

As a school board member in Stamford, CT, and a parent of two teenagers, Versha brings both governance-level insight and kitchen-table reality to the conversation. She’s deeply invested in student voice, community-led decision-making, and preparing schools for the future students are already living in.
